As a member of our Design Team, you will lead clients through a creative process to help them realize their outdoor dreams. You are a great listener, naturally build relationships, and pay attention to details. You are confident with landscape building techniques, results-oriented, and embrace performance goals. Of course, you create exceptional outdoor space designs.

As our Landscape Designer, you will be responsible for concept and detailed design, sales and client care, consulting, qualifying leads, and building proposals.

Here’s what you might have done last week:

1. Concept and Detail Design: Designing residential landscapes, preparing construction and planting details, creating 3D renderings, ensuring compliance with property bylaws and client budgets.
2. Sales and Client Care: Communicating actively with clients, presenting proposals, and helping meet sales goals.
3. Consulting and Qualifying: Managing leads, consulting on design services, measuring properties, and documenting information.
4. Build Proposals: Preparing design takeoffs, construction proposals, ensuring pricing guidelines are met, and providing detailed handoffs to project management.

The Details

This is a full-time, permanent position based mainly in Owen Sound, Ontario. When not in the office, travel to surrounding job sites is expected.

Qualifications

Ideally, we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in design at a design-build company
• Diploma in Landscape Design or Degree in Landscape Architecture
• Expertise in horticulture
• Confidence with landscape construction methods
• Fluency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
• Results-driven and performance-oriented
