GIVSCO Construction Company, a minority- and veteran-owned General Contractor based in Illinois, is growing—and we’re looking for a highly motivated, self-starting Estimator/Project Manager to help develop the Southern Illinois Market.

This is a key leadership-track role designed for someone eager to take initiative, drive projects forward, and grow into a senior position within the company. Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
• Develop and manage the Belleville/St. Louis Area Construction Market.
• Lead the full project lifecycle—from estimating and bidding to execution and closeout.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Conduct job site visits, oversee labor productivity, and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Administer and promote job site safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
• Manage multiple ongoing projects, balancing deadlines and shifting priorities with professionalism.
• Provide cost tracking and productivity analysis throughout project execution.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction experience; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong estimating experience and understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs.
• Familiar with government contracts and design-build projects (not required).
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/estimating software.
• Proficient with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating teams.
• Must be dependable, organized, and driven to take ownership of responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel throughout Central Illinois as project locations require.
