What will you do?

We are responsible for managing disability claims to resolution. This includes:

  1. Determine eligibility for short and long-term disability, salary continuance benefits, and assess claims.
  2. Implement the right interventions to support timely recovery and return to work.
  3. Build strong relationships with our Clients: employers and their employees.
Lead Clients during the absence and return to work period

Drive telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure a complete understanding of the absence and types of support required to assist with return to work planning.

Identify and assess medical and non-medical influencing factors pre and post disability, functional capability, restrictions, and limitations.

All post-secondary degrees are welcomed.

Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required to answer calls from English and French speaking clients across Canada and worldwide.

Analytical and detail-oriented, especially with complex claims and contracts.

Proactive and innovative.

Great communicator with authentic care and empathy touch.

Resilient and able to handle and overcome difficult and stressful situations.

Tech savvy – comfortable using multiple platforms and systems.

When a new position becomes available that matches your background and experience, the base pay range will be disclosed and will correspond to the opportunity Sun Life will consider you for.
