As a Disability Case Manager, you will help process life and health insurance claims, promote occupational health, and manage disabilities. Your creativity, curiosity, adaptability, and collaboration will positively impact people's lives and contribute to the financial security of our members and clients. Develop strategies and build strong relationships to establish intervention plans that facilitate the insured's recovery and timely return to work.
Communicate via phone and mail with various parties to understand the context of absences and communicate decisions to the insured and policyholder.
Approve and adjudicate claims, process waivers of premium, establish benefit amounts, determine payable periods, and ensure follow-ups are completed.
Prepare documents for the organization’s rehabilitation coordinator for claimant interviews. Review claims with medical consultants and legal department as needed.
Process disability claims in accordance with the group insurance contract terms.
