• Responsible for originating, evaluating and recommending commercial real estate mortgages in the British Columbia market (i.e. multi-residential, commercial / retail, office, industrial, land, etc.).
• Focus on bridge, high ratio and high quality construction loans.
• Build on established borrower and mortgage broker network to develop a quality portfolio of bridge, high ratio and construction loans.
• Work with senior management to pre-screen and qualify new lending opportunities in an efficient manner.
• Organize and maintain an up to date deal sheet / pipeline.
• Present credit submissions to credit committee for approval.
• Support funding and due diligence team in closing loan transactions.
• Maintain borrower and broker relationship after funding.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in commercial real estate mortgage origination in the British Columbia market.
• Bridge and construction lending experience across various asset classes including both residential and commercial real estate.
• The candidate will demonstrate an established network of potential borrowers and mortgage brokers.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
• Entrepreneurial and creative approach with institutional lending experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
