Dillon Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our team. In this key role, you will ensure our business units make informed decisions and effectively manage risks related to new opportunities, projects, and contracts. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess a deep understanding of risk management principles and practices. You should have a proven track record of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in dynamic business environments. Additionally, strong communication and negotiation skills are essential to foster relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

This position is available at any of our offices across Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business units to analyze potential projects and contracts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Review contracts and related documents to identify risks, collaborating with the legal team on complex legal issues.
  • Provide guidance and support during contract negotiations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including insurance, project management practices, and contingency plans.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance risk assessment and negotiation skills within teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Professional, Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal understanding skills.
  • Experience in risk management, especially in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a solid understanding of risk management principles.
Experience
  • At least 5 years in risk management, preferably in consulting.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a related field.
  • Experience working with senior managers and technical teams on business initiatives.
