We specialize in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction and development projects—whether large or small. Based in Brockville, the company is ideally located to provide vital services throughout Eastern Ontario—including Kingston, Ottawa, Cornwall, Perth, Smiths Falls, and Kemptville.

Key Responsibilities

• Site investigation and evaluation of existing buildings.
• Prepare detailed design calculations and engineering reports.
• Manage projects and clients from conceptual design to final completion.
• Preparation of reports and studies.
• Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Direct drafting for complete and accurate documentation.
• Prepare engineering calculations for small to mid-scale steel, lumber, and concrete structures, including new and renovated buildings.
• Calculate for temporary structures such as scaffolding or shoring.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM technologists for structural and shop drawings.
• Attend site meetings and perform field reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario.
• 8 to 15 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Strong analytical skills in structural engineering.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and wood design.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code Part 4 and Part 9.
• Proficiency with SAP2000, ETAB, STAAD, and RAM software.
• Fast learner with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to interpret multi-disciplinary construction drawings.
• Experience with site visits and technical report writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
