I am looking for an Assistant Controller and Payroll for my client, a company in the transport sector. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode in Longueuil.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mobilize a team of two
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Ensure payroll processing and compliance
• Act as an expert in payroll and the Dayforce payroll management system
• Configure and optimize the Dayforce payroll system according to the evolving needs of the company
• Participate in the monthly and annual closing of the accounting books by carrying out reconciliations, analyses, and adjustments as necessary
• Prepare accounting entries at the end of the month
• Participate in annual audit processes
• Responsible for collecting a portion of customer accounts
• Monitor credit privileges based on customer history
• Validate weekly customer billing
• Validate discounts to be made to valets
• Collaborate in payroll processing and perform validation if necessary
• Collaborate in the accounts payable process if necessary

Qualifications

• College or university degree in accounting or finance
• 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar position
• French/English bilingualism, both oral and written
• Management experience is an asset
• ACP certification is an asset
• Accounting title is an asset
