Network Solutions and Security Architect

This position is :

On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office

As a member of the Network Solutions and Security Architecture group, the Architect is responsible for developing solutions that meet business and operational requirements related to connectivity and security. This includes communicating requirements to other teams for infrastructure, network connectivity, and security policies. The role is project-driven and highly technical, ensuring the optimal, stable, and secure deployment and operation of key systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various business groups (Carrier Networks, Security, Mobility, etc.) to support their requirements. The architect will create all design documentation and detailed 'build tickets' for respective teams.

The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, motivated, and focused. They are a thought leader who ensures comprehensive security is integrated into system design and implementation.

Responsibilities :

• Extensive experience as a network administrator with Cisco, Juniper, or both (preferred).
• Experience with network security, including firewall administration with Juniper, Palo Alto Networks (preferred).
• Experience with large-scale network design and architecture.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, determine project scope, and extract requirements and dependencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce solution options and analyze their advantages and disadvantages.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SSH applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Networking and Security concepts.
• IP addressing, subnetting, supernetting.
• Layer 2 switching, VLANs, trunking, LAG, spanning-tree, etc.
• Data center Ethernet fabrics like Virtual Chassis and Multi Chassis LAG.
• Layer 3 routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, static routing; ISIS experience is a plus.
• Data center fabrics like VXLAN/EVPN (underlay/overlay).
• Security technologies including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, PKI.
• Security architecture, including Zones, 3-Tier, Zero Trust, traffic flows, perimeter and interior firewalling.
