Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) invites applications for an Electrical & Instrumentation Planner to support the Upgrading and Utilities (U2) unit at Horizon Oil Sands in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This on-site role focuses on planning, scheduling, and delivering maintenance work packages to keep backlog work flowing.

The role requires 5+ years in energy, with a Red Seal in Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent.

Qualifications

Typically 5+ years of related industry experience with interprovincial red seal in Electrical and/or Instrumentation.
Planning certification and proactive leadership would be an asset.
Expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation Planning and CMMS usage.

Responsibilities

Plan and develop detailed E&I maintenance work packages with scope, resources, scheduling.
Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, vendors and stakeholders.
Manage work orders and backlogs with cost tracking and data integrity.
Conduct field assessments, create BOMs, identify materials and services.
Support outages, turnarounds, major maintenance projects and PM setup.
Enhance equipment reliability and safety through safety reviews and preventive maintenance.
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance planning and CMMS processes.
