Job summary

RONA is seeking a delivery driver to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. You will operate a 24-foot flatbed (DZ) with a Moffett forklift, delivering products on time and providing courteous service to customers.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, documenting deliveries with photos, maintaining vehicle and equipment, and adhering to health, safety, and loss prevention standards while supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• DZ driver’s licence with clean driving record; must provide license, CVOR and driving Abstract.
• Moffett forklift experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg and work outdoors up to 80% of the time.
• Excellent customer service and proficiency with Zebra handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 24-foot flatbed (DZ) and operate a Moffett for deliveries.
• Handle orders, including invoices, take photos of deliveries and deliver excellent customer service.
• Regularly inspect and maintain the truck and equipment to comply with RONA standards and legal requirements.
• Load/unload trucks, deliver products to designated sites, and handle goods as needed.
• Support department maintenance and order preparation while adhering to health, safety, and loss prevention standards.

Be a key player in our delivery team! As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering our products on time to customers while representing RONA with professionalism. Operating a 24-foot flatbed with a Moffett forklift, you must be experience with flatbeds and throwing straps. You’ll provide reliable and efficient service, contributing to our mission of excellence.

Your role:

• Drive a 24-foot flatbed (DZ Class) and operate a (Moffett) for deliveries
• Handle orders, including invoices, take photos of deliveries and delivering excellent customer service
• Regularly maintain and inspect the truck and equipment to comply with RONA standards and legal requirements
• Load/unload trucks, deliver products to designated sites, and handle goods as needed
• Support department maintenance and order preparation while adhering to health, safety, and loss prevention standards

What we're looking for:

• Class DZ driver's license with driving experience and driving record with no more than 3 demerit points (will need to send a copy of Driver license, recent CVOR and driving Abstract)
• Moffett experience is a must
• Ability to handle physical tasks (loads up to 23 kg) and work outdoors up to 80% of the time
• Customer service skills and proficiency with electronic tools (Zebra)
