Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Montreal is seeking a Civil/Architectural Structural Designer to join our offices in Montreal, Laval, Trois-Rivières, Québec or Longueuil. You will collaborate with project teams, architects, and clients to design structural concepts and prepare plans and specifications for concrete, steel, or wood frames.

You will be involved in designing, field surveys, estimates, drawings, and inspections while applying company and client standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma DEC in civil engineering or architecture and a minimum of 3 years of experience in building structures.
• Experience designing structural projects.
• Proficiency with REVIT.
• Strong French language skills (spoken and written); English is a plus.
• ASP health and safety certification on construction sites.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft structural projects of varying scales.
• Carry out site surveys.
• Assist in preparing estimates, plans, and specifications.
• Participate in inspection work.
• Coordinate activities with project stakeholders.
• Apply company and client procedures and standards.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and clients.
• Perform other related tasks to help complete projects.
