Job summary

HMM America Shipping Agency, Inc. in Vancouver is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to grow our client base from an office setting, mainly via phone and email. You will work with Account Executives to secure business and maintain strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused attitude. We value independence balanced with teamwork, and prior logistics or ocean freight exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BA preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of ocean/global logistics or related sales experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with CRM and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Find new customers by following up on leads and cold calling.
• Maintain customer database and sales records.
• Address customer questions via email/phone and occasional meetings.
• Close sales using negotiation skills.
• Support Account Executives and assist with daily reports.
• Explain and demonstrate service features to customers.
• Create, amend, update and review service contracts with main contract holders.
• Travel for local sales calls if required.
