Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Catering Server to deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions in the Metro Vancouver area. This role involves assembling supplies, maintaining temperatures, serving plated dinners, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Applicants should have a Food Handler Certificate and a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, plus at least 1 year of related experience. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a catering or similar environment.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate are required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to read event orders and organize deliveries for the day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Assist with food and table prep before events begin.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverage, and service items according to standards.
• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages and appetizers.
• Keep display equipment clean during meal service and assist with inventory and closeout tasks.
• Return equipment and utensils to the catering facility and maintain cleanliness of the facility.
