Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Catering Server to deliver and serve food and beverages at scheduled functions. You will assemble, deliver, and manage supplies for catered events, ensuring food temperatures are logged and maintained.

Two certifications are preferred (Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service). Prior event catering experience and a valid driver's license are beneficial for this role, which supports fast-paced and detail-oriented service environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to read event orders and organize deliveries for the day.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to carry out duties.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Assist with food and table prep before events begin.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages and other needs.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Clean location after event and assist with inventory, food storage and closeout tasks.
• Return food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
• Stock, clean and maintain catering facility and equipment.
• May drive a catering delivery truck.
