Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking a temporary 1.0 FTE EEP Classroom Instructor for St. Anne Catholic School, starting immediately through June 2027.

The position emphasizes identifying student needs, planning tailored instruction, and fostering a nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with staff and report progress to parents, while supporting Indigenous learning initiatives and a welcoming school community.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED
• Alberta Level 2 Early Childhood Educator Certification required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
• Organized and able to meet deadlines in a school schedule

Responsibilities

• Identify students’ learning needs and plan instruction accordingly
• Deliver instruction based on student needs and special requirements
• Provide a stimulating learning environment for growth
• Meet and report to parents on student progress
• Evaluate and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Prepare remedial programs for students needing extra help
• Collaborate with other professionals on student plans
• Supervise extracurricular and after-school activities as needed
• Attend meetings, seminars and in-service trainings
