Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Dual Journeyperson Electrician & Instrumentation Technician for a long-term industrial maintenance contract in the Conklin region. This full-time role offers year-round work on a 7/7 rotation, with either Drive-In/Drive-Out or Fly-In/Fly-Out options from Calgary or Edmonton.

The successful candidate will inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, read blueprints, comply with Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S standards, and contribute to a strong safety

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician & Instrumentation Certificate required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
• Certifications: H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, AWP/EMP and CSTS 2020.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Dual Journeyperson Electrician & Instrumentation Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position supporting a long-term industrial maintenance contract with a major energy-sector client, offering year-round work on a 7/7 rotation.

This position is available as either Drive-In/Drive-Out with a travel allowance or Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton. The successful candidate will enjoy consistent work, a strong safety culture, and the opportunity to build a long-term career with PTW.

This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and industrial maintenance experience. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician & Instrumentation Certificate
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, AWP/EMP and CSTS 2020.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment.Valid driver's license
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage range from $53.60 to will commensurate with experience and certification.
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
