Job summary

PTW Energy Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for assignments in Athabasca. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on industrial projects and sites, with a focus on safety and code compliance.

You will interpret drawings, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other trades while adhering to company policies and OH&S standards. A Red Seal is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices and electrical equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Athabasca. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred).
• Minimum of 2years of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices and electrical equipment.
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

• Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience and certification.
