Job summary

Alberta Motor Association is seeking a Novice Driving Instructor to lead safe driving instruction for students. You will mentor learners and provide constructive feedback to help them become licensed, confident drivers.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Novice Instruction, you will deliver quality vehicle instruction, follow Alberta Transportation guidelines, and adapt to evening/weekend schedules as needed. AMA offers competitive benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Alberta Class 1, 2, or 4 Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum two years licensed as a Driving Instructor with appropriate endorsements.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract (10 years).
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends and travel as required.
  • Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines and AMA policy for Driving Instructors.
  • Strong instructional and leadership abilities with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

  • Be available after school, evenings, and weekends to meet scheduling needs.
