Alberta Motor Association’s AMA Driver Education division in Lethbridge seeks a contracted Class 5 Driving Instructor to teach and mentor new drivers. You’ll leverage AMA’s student base and support network while building your own client relationships.

You’ll deliver safe, high‑quality in‑vehicle instruction, adhere to Alberta Transportation rules, and work with senior instructors to maintain top safety standards. Training and startup support are provided.

Qualifications

• Provincial Driving Instructor Licence (Class 5) required; training provided for suitable candidates.
• Class 1–5 licence held for at least 3 years; ability to obtain Class 4 licence.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality vehicle instruction to students following AMA requirements and safety standards.
• Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines for Driving Instructors; give constructive feedback to help students become licensed.
• Be available after school, evenings, and weekends to meet student scheduling needs.

(Don’t worry, training will be provided to suitable candidates who don’t have this certification.)You’ve had a Class 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 licence for a minimum of 3 years.Ability to obtain a Class 4 licence.You have a clean driver’s abstract.You have your own vehicle.You can cover required start-up costs after completing training and acquiring your instructor license (vehicle add-ons, SEF 6D Endorsement insurance, and incorporating).Please note – being incorporated will be required upon hire and obtaining a WCB number will be required upon completion of training.We’re always on the lookout for great talent!
