Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a Driver Trainer to deliver driver onboarding, in-cab training, and ongoing safety education. You will support certification programs, provide ELD guidance, and help maintain regulatory compliance across our operations in Dartmouth, NS or St.

John’s, NL. The role requires a Class 1 license with air brake endorsement, proven coaching experience with professional drivers, and strong knowledge of federal and provincial regulations.

Location

Schedule

Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm | Available to work outside standard hours as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver new driver orientation and training to ensure safe, compliant onboarding.
• Support driver training programs and certification requirements, including forklift, TDG, WHMIS, in-cab training, and other operational training needs.
• Provide ELD support and guidance to drivers and operations teams.
• Support safety initiatives, including Job Safety Observations, Dock Audits, and compliance activities.
• Facilitate safety meetings, communications, and engagement events to promote a strong safety culture.
• Participate as a member of the incident response call-out team.
• Support occupational health and safety activities and related initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement.
• Experience evaluating, educating, coaching, and supporting professional drivers.
• Strong knowledge of federal and provincial transportation regulations.
• Experience using ELD and onboard technology solutions.
• Strong time management, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Computer literacy, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
