A local supply company in Ottawa is seeking a physically fit delivery assistant/general labourer. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work outdoors, and teamwork. Applicants should be organized and able to lift heavy weights. Training will be provided for specific tasks. Only qualified candidates will be contacted.

Overview

As a delivery assistant / general labourer you must be a hard working, team focused, organized, customer service oriented individual who prides him / herself on a job well done. The position is physically demanding and you must be able to work at a fast pace. Full training is provided.

Requirements

• You must be able to lift 35kg (80lbs)
• Willing to work outdoors
• Must be organized
• Must maintain a clean work environment
• Possess good customer service skills
• Be available during store hours Monday – Friday (days only)
• Be able to work independently or as a team player

Qualifications

• Must not be afraid of heights up to 2 1 / 2 storeys
• Experience unloading trucks a definite asset
• Be able to provide a police clearance
• Must have reliable transportation to place of work
• Fall Arrest certificate is an asset but we are willing to train
• Valid G license is an asset
• Tow motor experience is an asset

Must be physically fit, and have safety footwear, and hard hat. Police check required.
