Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Wellsite Supervisor to oversee drilling and completion operations at sites near East London. The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and deep field operations knowledge to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well program execution.

You will be the primary on-site contact, coordinating rig crews, contractors, and all operational activities, with a focus on maintaining high safety and environmental standards in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Drilling Supervisor or Wellsite Supervisor.
• Knowledge of drilling fluid systems, well control procedures, and completion techniques.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices in field operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a remote, demanding environment.
• IWCF Level 3 or higher certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of drilling and completion operations on the wellsite.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Manage rig crews, service providers, and other personnel on site, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
• Monitor operational progress, troubleshoot issues, and make timely decisions to keep operations on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain accurate daily drilling reports, cost tracking, and inventory management.
• Liaise with onshore management, providing regular updates on operational status, challenges, and performance.
