Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or construction environments preferred.
  • Ability to travel 2–4 weeks per project.
  • Class 5 Driver's License required.
  • Experience operating dredges or centrifuges is an asset.

  • Rig up and rig out dredging/centrifuge gear.
  • Perform general duties such as debris removal and site cleanup.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Prioritize Health and Safety on site.

Job description

Clean Harbors in Edmonton, AB is currently looking for Dredging & Dewatering Technician to join their safety focused team! The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining dredges and centrifuge systems. This position requires travel for 2-4 weeks at a time based off the project demand.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes;
  • Operates centrifuges and electric dredges;
  • Maintains centrifuges and dredges;
  • Rigs up and rigs out dredging and centrifuge equipment;
  • Performs general duties required to complete work, such as: debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.;
  • Completes all required paperwork.
Qualifications
  • Previous industrial or construction based experience is strongly preferred;
  • Previous centrifuge operating or dredging and dewatering experience is an asset;
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 75% annually with 1-2 weeks from home at a time;
  • Class 5 Driver's License is required;
  • Experience operating front-end loaders, wheel loaders, or skid steers is an asset;
  • Boater's license is an asset.
