• Minimum of six years of progressive drafting experience with knowledge of underground operations material handling.
• Graduation from a community college in drafting or equivalent training.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary, General Arrangement and detail working drawings for structural and mechanical work.
• Work from general information supplied by Design Engineers or Senior Draftsperson.

Skills

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Draftsperson-Mechanical/Civil to join ourGlencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a full-time, unionized position.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities:

The Draftsperson will prepare preliminary drawings, General Arrangement drawings and detail working drawings for structural and mechanical work from general information supplied by Design Engineers, or more Senior Draftsperson.

Education and Skills

The position requires the following:

• Graduation from a community college in drafting and/or acceptable equivalent training or experience.
• Minimum of six years of progressive drafting experience with knowledge of underground operations material handling, mine plant equipment.
• Knowledge of construction materials.
