The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Draftsperson-Mechanical/Civil to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a full-time, unionized position.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities:

The Draftsperson will prepare preliminary drawings, General Arrangement drawings and detail working drawings for structural and mechanical work from general information supplied by Design Engineers, or more Senior Draftsperson.

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your growth in this role.

Education And Skills

The position requires the following:

  • Graduation from a community college in drafting and/or acceptable equivalent training or experience.
  • Minimum of six years of progressive drafting experience with knowledge of underground operations material handling, mine plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of construction materials.
  • Have a valid Ontario Vehicle Operating Permit.
