ABOUT THE ROLE
The CAD Technician/Technologist is responsible for the articulation of information from contract drawings, addendum, specifications, written documents and oral instruction in providing accurate precast production and construction shop drawings. Reporting to the Drafting Supervisor, the incumbent will prepare accurate construction and production drawings utilizing CAD drafting techniques showing all details required for the complete fabrication and installation of precast concrete components. Planning and organization is an important dimension of this position where both internal and external customer schedules requirements must be met. Project collaboration will include working alongside Sales, Project Management and Operation teams.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Two or three years Technician or Technology training from technical college
Required Work experience: Minimum three years experience in construction industry
Required Technical Skills: Proficient in drafting construction drawings and shop drawings with AutoCad. Computer skills training programs or equivalent work experience including software applications such as Microsoft Excel, communications and knowledge of network operations
