Job summary

Kumaran Systems is seeking a senior .NET backend engineer to design and build scalable services on .NET 8/C#. You will work on Azure Functions, Service Bus, App Service and SQL data layers, ensuring secure, reliable cloud-first solutions for enterprise clients.

Collaborating with architects, QA and DevOps, you will implement CI/CD pipelines, instrument services with Application Insights, and mentor mid-level developers while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven track record delivering Azure-based production workloads.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-facing experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services in .NET 8 / C# and Web APIs.
• Develop and maintain Azure Functions, Service Bus consumers and App Service deployments.
• Model, query and tune data in SQL Server / Azure SQL; write performant T‑SQL and stored procedures.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for build, test and release automation.
• Instrument services with Application Insights; diagnose and resolve production incidents.
• Collaborate with architects, QA and DevOps on secure, cost‑efficient Azure solutions.
• Review pull requests, enforce coding standards and mentor mid‑level developers.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of hands‑on .NET development (.NET Core / .NET 6/8, C#).
• Strong experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, App Service, Blob Storage, Key Vault.
• SQL Server / Azure SQL — schema design, indexing, T‑SQL, stored procedures, query tuning.
• Identity & security: Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth2 / OIDC, Managed Identity.
• Unit testing (xUnit / NUnit / MSTest) and integration testing.
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines) or GitHub Actions.
• Git, branching strategies and code‑review discipline.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Event-driven architectures using Event Grid or Event Hubs.
• Frontend exposure (Angular / React / Blazor).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record of delivering production workloads on Azure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable in client-facing conversations
