Job summary

BDC is seeking a Domain Lead, Defence Supply Chain Development, to drive supplier engagement and SME participation across Canada. You will combine deep sector knowledge with AI-enabled insights to identify capability gaps and deploy scalable solutions that accelerate defence programs.

Reporting to the VP, you will build trusted relationships with Prime Contractors and Tier 1 suppliers, oversee rapid development and scaling of sector initiatives, and coordinate BDC financing, advisory services,

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Aerospace/Naval supply chain within Prime/Tier 1 context.
• Deep understanding of Prime/Tier-1 capabilities and buying behaviour.
• Experience with major defence procurement programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead relationship management with Prime Contractors and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Identify supplier development opportunities using AI-enabled insights.
• Coordinate BDC financing, advisory, and ecosystem support for SMEs.
• Drive SME readiness and match SMEs to defence programs.
