Job summary

Thales Canada Inc., Defence and Security is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth across naval, maritime and digital domains from Ottawa, with a hybrid work model. You will shape and execute sales strategies targeting the Canadian Army, Joint Operations Command and the Department of National Defence, unifying technical insight with commercial strategy.

The role requires an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader capable of influencing multi-BL priorities within a global matrix,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years' sales experience in Canadian defence industry or related BD roles.
• Familiarity with defence procurement processes and C5ISRT, command, control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead BD and sales strategy for land, joint and digital transformation programs.
• Establish relationships with Canadian Armed Forces stakeholders, primes and partners.
• Oversee capture planning from opportunity identification through hand-off to Capture Leader.
