Job summary

Strana is seeking a Document Controller for our energy-sector client in Saint John, NB. The role focuses on receiving, tracking, and managing technical drawings and project documents throughout their lifecycle, ensuring organization and compliance across capital projects.

You will handle transmittals, backlog cleanup, distribution of drawings, and reviews, with emphasis on data quality in Autodesk Forma and strong Office/SharePoint usage.

Qualifications

• Engineering Technologist or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with document control systems and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a multi‑discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Process transmittals and manage document flow across projects.
• Help clean up a transmittal backlog and track status.
• Receive and issue transmittals to internal/external teams.
• Distribute drawings to project teams and consultants.
• Initiate and close document reviews to ensure timely approvals.
• Perform quality back-checks on data in Autodesk Forma.
• Scan, print, and file paper/electronic documents.
