Job summary

Dermapure, a leading non-invasive medical aesthetics network in Canada, is seeking a Nurse's Assistant to join our team. You will assess patients, assist doctors during procedures, maintain sterile rooms, and manage schedules.

The role requires a nursing diploma (RPN), at least 1 year experience, interest in aesthetics, sales-oriented with empathy, and strong communication. We offer equal opportunities and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with patients on first visit to identify needs and plan treatment options.
  • Assist the doctor during procedures, prepare instruments, and document notes.
  • Prepare and maintain clean treatment rooms and manage inventory.
  • Coordinate daily schedules and reschedule appointments as needed.
  • Make follow-up calls after assessments or treatments to address questions.
  • Perform blood draws and post‑treatment laser and care as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for other technicians and provide patient support.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting Assessments: Meet with patients during their first visit to identify their needs. Answer their questions and explain the different options available for their conditions. Create a treatment plan based on their expectations and recommend complementary at‑home care. Consolidate the recommendations during follow‑up appointments.
  • Assist the Doctor during Procedures: Provide medical assistance for various surgical techniques. Review the patient’s needs. Prepare the necessary instruments, materials, or supplies. Clean the patient’s skin. Offer support to patients before, during, and after treatment. Keep clinical notes up to date, accurately and in detail in the client’s file. Guide the patient by suggesting additional treatments appropriate to their condition, based on the ongoing treatment.
  • Ensure Necessary Materials are Available and Maintain Cleanliness of Injection Rooms: Prepare the treatment rooms. Clean the rooms between each procedure. Inventory medical products and supplies and ensure adequate stock is available in the rooms.
  • Manage the Schedule: Review the schedule daily. Oversee the rescheduling of appointments, ensure the order of arrival is respected, manage appointment order, and balance it all. Manage delays and keep patients informed. Update the doctor on the pulse of the day.
  • Follow-up Calls after Assessments or Treatments: Return calls daily and address any questions or concerns from patients. Follow up after assessments, invasive treatments, or to review certain applications.
  • Procedures: The Doctor’s Assistant will also be in charge of performing blood draws.
  • Provide Medical and Post‑Treatment Care: As needed, you will perform laser techniques and provide post‑surgery care. You will be a resource for other technicians.
  • Blood withdrawls.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in nursing (RPN);
  • One (1) year of experience in a related field;
  • Knowledge and interest in aesthetics, cosmetics, and aesthetic medicine;
  • Enjoys working with the public and sales;
  • Desire and ability to continually improve knowledge;
  • Sales-oriented while maintaining a human and relational approach;
  • Empathetic and able to create an emotional connection;
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Practical knowledge of computers;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • A versatile, dynamic person capable of adapting to various personalities;
