Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a reliable Dock Worker to join our Courier team in Dartmouth, NS. The role supports on-time deliveries and efficient terminal operations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3am to 12pm. You will load/unload freight, use scanners, and operate pallet jacks while adhering to safety procedures and teamwork to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification is an asset.
  • Willingness to work, dependability & a good attitude.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy items regularly.
  • Willingness to work in warehouse conditions with variable temperatures/noise.
  • Safety boots/shoes.
  • Clean criminal background.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight from trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Sort, stage and organize shipments within the dock area.
  • Use of scanners and paperwork.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Verify shipment accuracy and report damages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  • Attend in-house training sessions as required (e.g. dangerous goods, WHMIS).
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Dock Worker to join our Courier team. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient movement of freight within our terminal, supporting on-time deliveries and overall operational success.

Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3am to 12pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload freight from trailers in a safe and efficient manner
