Job summary

GLS Canada is seeking an LTL Operations Manager for our Vaughan terminal. The role is permanent full-time with a Sunday to Thursday schedule from 10:00pm to 6:30am. Salary up to $85,000 CAD, based on experience, with a workplace at 9501 Hwy 50 Vaughan, ON L4H 2B9.

You will coach and mentor supervisors, monitor daily PM dock performance, ensure scanning compliance, reweigh and recube to improve revenue capture, and uphold health and safety standards while cross-training staff for dock coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum management experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Ability to take initiative, multitask and work well in a team.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coach, train and mentor your supervisors.
• Daily PM Dock performance, monitoring and adjustments.
• Increase Scanning Compliance, both Inbound & Outbound.
• PM Reweigh and Recube, improve revenue capture on the Dock.
• Reduce miss-directs and damages on customer shipments.
• Customer shipment audits when required.
• Ensure employees follow health & safety guidelines.
• Cross train staff to ensure adequate dock coverage daily.
• Action on all last-minute shipment requests.
