Job summary

EllisDon Corporation, through its Oxford Builders Supplies division, is seeking a Divisional Controller to lead financial reporting and controls for the Oxford segment in London, Ontario. You will oversee accounting departments, consolidate reporting to Head Office, ensure GAAP/ASPE compliance, and manage month-end close and audits.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial recommendations, while developing internal controls and partnering with operations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience.
• CPA designation required.
• Strong accounting background with ASPE and/or IFRS experience.
• Public accounting experience is an asset.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Well-organized, proactive and detail-oriented, able to self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly technical accountant capable of process improvements and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial leadership and reporting across the Oxford division.
• Oversee the accounting departments (AR, AP, Sales Tax, Accounting).
• Prepare Oxford Builders’ financial statements and consolidated reporting for Head Office.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (ASPE), policies, and external audits.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with strategic insights.
• Conduct financial analysis to support capital investments and growth.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls and policies.
• Manage external audits and government reporting requirements.
• Implement system changes and improve processes; partner with operations on reporting tools.
• Manage capital expenditures, fixed assets and inventory controls.
• Monitor cash flow and financial risk; provide strategic input on business planning.
