Job summary

Linde Canada Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operations Coordinator to support transportation, payroll, regulatory compliance, facilities, and daily site activities from our Montreal-East facility.

The role covers driver records, contractor onboarding, safety documentation, and operational reporting in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a college diploma in a related field, bilingual French/English communication, and the ability to work on-site five days per week.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, fleet operations or similar operational environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transportation activities, driver records, and operational reporting to ensure smooth operations.
  • Audit payroll, expenses, vendor invoices, and credit card transactions for accuracy.
  • Manage contractor onboarding and compliance records with Avetta.
  • Maintain SDS, WHMIS, and safety/compliance documentation.
  • Oversee facilities upkeep, work orders, and contractor coordination via EAM.
  • Manage office supplies and courier services for site operations.
  • Serve as main point of contact for drivers, staff, vendors, and management.
  • Lead process improvements and special projects to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Distribution Operations Coordinator (full time)

We are seeking a organized and detail-oriented Transportation & Operations Support Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support across transportation, payroll, compliance, facilities, and day-to-day business activities. This position serves as a key point of contact for drivers, mechanics, contractors, vendors, and management, ensuring that operational processes, documentation, financial records, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and operational accuracy.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • Coordinate daily transportation activities, documentation, driver records, delays, hours-of-service, and operational reporting to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently
  • Audit and process weekly driver payroll, employee expenses, credit card transactions, and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Manage contractor onboarding, qualifications, compliance records, and approvals through Avetta to ensure all requirements are met before work begins
  • Maintain SDS, WHMIS, regulatory, safety, and other required compliance documentation and ensure records remain current and accessible
  • Coordinate facility repairs, maintenance, work orders, contractors, and improvement projects through EAM to keep sites safe, functional, and operational
  • Manage office, operational, and safety supplies while coordinating courier services and other site support requirements
  • Serve as a key point of contact for drivers, employees, contractors, visitors, customers, vendors, and management, addressing issues and ensuring effective communication
  • Drive process improvements, administrative initiatives, and special projects that improve operational efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and overall service
What makes you great*
  • College diploma in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered
  • Bring experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, fleet operations, or a similar operational environment
  • Experience with compliance, payroll administration, contractor management, facilities, or related administrative functions is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills, with the ability to take initiative and follow issues through to resolution
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and contribute effectively to a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with transportation, maintenance, payroll, expense, or logistics software is an asset
  • Fully on-site position at the Montreal-East Distribution Facility, requiring availability to work from the office five days per week
