Job summary

Linde Canada Inc. seeks a responsible driver to load/unload cylinders, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with TDG regulations. You will manage paperwork, perform inspections, and maintain safety protocols while supporting logistics operations.

Ideal candidates hold a G/Class 5 license with at least two years of experience, can handle various cylinder sizes, and are trained in TDG/WHMIS. The role involves lifting up to 60 pounds and contributing to safe, efficient transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of G/Class 5 driving experience.
• Valid provincial Driver's License with a clean record.
• Ability to handle various cylinder sizes and weights.
• Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• TDG and WHMIS training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cylinders and record quantities and styles to match shipping documents.
• Check and placard vehicle according to TDG regulations.
• Follow operating and safety procedures while performing tasks.
• Complete shipping orders and related paperwork.
• Submit trip reports, fuel tickets, and other required reports.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report any defects.
• Identify repair or maintenance needs and arrange work with minimal disruption.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will be responsible to load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
• Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of *Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is part of your role
• Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
• Further, you will complete shipping orders and related paperwork
• Additionally, complete trip reports, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections, noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
• Also, you will identify need for repairs and / or maintenance to vehicles and ensure maintenance or repairs are conducted with minimal disruption to the operation

• You have a minimum of two (2) years of G / Class 5 driving experience
• Your provincial Driver's License is valid and incident-free
• Moreover you are able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
• Knowledgeable in compressed gases and safe handling

This is an existing position with a starting annual salary of $50,000.
