Job summary

Linde Canada Inc. in Longueuil, QC is seeking a Class 3 / DZ Route Delivery Driver (full time) to safely transport and deliver gas cylinders to customers. The role includes loading/unloading, TDG/WHMIS compliance, and completing related paperwork.

Replacement role with a salary range of 51,000$-53,000$. The driver will ensure safety and accuracy in deliveries, perform pre/post trip inspections, and handle various cylinder sizes while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of AZ/DZ/Class 1 or Class 3 driving experience.
• Valid provincial driver's license with air brake endorsement.
• Ability to handle cylinder sizes and weights.
• Knowledge of compressed gases and safe handling.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• TDG and WHMIS training.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles to ensure load matches shipping documents.
• Check and placard vehicle according to TDG regulations.
• Follow operating and safety procedures on assigned tasks.
• Complete shipping orders and related paperwork.
• Complete trip reports, fuel tickets, and other required reports.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects to supervisor.
• Identify maintenance needs and arrange repairs with minimal disruption to operation.

The Driver is responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of gas cylinders to customers.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will be responsible to load and unload cylinders, count and record quantities and styles of product to ensure actual load complies with shipping documents
• Check and placard vehicle according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is part of your role
• Follow operating and safety procedures while completing the assigned tasks
• Further, you will complete shipping orders and related paperwork
• Additionally, complete trip reports, fuel tickets, and other necessary reports
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections, noting and explaining defects or deficiencies to supervisor
• Also, you will identify need for repairs and / or maintenance to vehicles and ensure maintenance or repairs are conducted with minimal disruption to the operation

What makes you great*

• You have a minimum of two (2) years of AZ / DZ / Class 1 or Class 3 driving experience
• Your provincial Driver's License is valid, incident-free, and includes air brake endorsement
• Moreover you are able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as required
• Knowledgeable in compressed gases and safe handling
• Your strong mechanical aptitude sets you apart
• And you are able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Trained in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
