Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a Regular-position electrical distribution engineer to help shape the evolution of transmission and distribution networks across Canada. You will design infrastructure up to 69 kV, plan networks, and develop technical solutions for connections, rehabilitation and expansions in a collaborative, field- and office-based role.

Applicants should bring 3–8 years in distribution line design, strong proficiency in PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE, and fluency in English and French to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution infrastructure up to 69 kV and participate in planning distribution networks.
• Develop technical solutions for network connection, rehabilitation and expansion projects.
• Prepare and optimize PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models.
• Perform mechanical and structural calculations required for design.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, cost estimates and technical reports.
• Collaborate with related disciplines to ensure project success and provide construction support.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement of work methods.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline
