Job summary

BBA Consultants seeks an experienced engineer to design electrical distribution up to 69 kV and drive planning for distribution networks. You will develop technical solutions for connections, rehabilitation and expansion, and model with PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE while delivering drawings, specs and cost estimates.

Engage with multiple disciplines, mentor junior staff, and support project execution and field work. Strong English and French are essential for collaboration across Canada and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec is required.
• Experience with distribution line design and electrical networks.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for design modelling.
• English and French language proficiency for collaboration with offices/clients.

Position Requirements And Qualifications At a Glance

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in distribution line design.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Knowledge of standards and practices applicable to electrical distribution networks.
• Experience in preparing drawings, specifications, as well as providing construction support.
• Advanced level of English to foster effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally (the frequency of English use may vary from occasional to daily depending on active projects).
• Advanced level of French to foster effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in Quebec.
• Asset: Knowledge of complementary software such as PLS-TOWER, L-Pile or SAG10.
