Job summary
BBA Consultants is seeking a skilled Electrical/Civil/Mechanical engineer to join our team in Canada. The role focuses on design, rehabilitation and optimization of overhead distribution networks for utilities, renewables and industrial clients.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, efficient solutions and prepare drawings, specifications and technical reports. The position offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities to mentor colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in distribution line design.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
- Knowledge of standards and practices applicable to electrical distribution networks.
- Experience in preparing drawings and specifications, as well as providing construction support.
- Advanced level of English to foster effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally.
- Advanced level of French to foster effective collaboration with BBA offices and/or clients located in Quebec.
- Asset: Knowledge of complementary software such as PLS-TOWER, L-Pile or SAG10.

- Participate in the planning and optimization of distribution networks.
- Develop technical solutions for network connection, rehabilitation and expansion projects.
- Prepare and optimize PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models.
- Perform the mechanical and structural calculations required for design.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, cost estimates and technical reports.
- Participate in the preparation of service proposals.
- Provide technical support to project execution and construction teams.
- Collaborate with related disciplines to ensure project success.
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of work methods.

Join our team specializing in transmission and distribution lines and help shape the evolution of electrical distribution networks that power communities, industrial facilities and renewable energy projects.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, rehabilitation and optimization of overhead distribution networks.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams and clients to develop safe, efficient solutions tailored to the growing needs of the electrification market. You will be involved in a variety of projects for utilities, renewable energy producers and major industrial clients across Quebec and throughout Canada.
