Job summary

Newrest Canada is seeking personnel to coordinate cargo and passenger handling for airline operations. Responsibilities include assigning loads, coordinating with drivers and airport staff, and ensuring timely aircraft turnaround.

You will monitor flight schedules, communicate with supervisors, and ensure compliance with safety and food safety documents. Candidates should be prepared to work on site, support ramp activities, and cover for driver roles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assigns trucks, flights, loads to the Drivers,maintain constant radio/phone contact with the team on duty
• Coordinates operations with Airport Regulatorsand deals with all emergency adjustments
• Physically go on the ramp when required toprovide guidance to the drivers in need
• Occasionally cover for Truck Driver positionwhen there is a need due to shortage of manpower
• Receives incoming calls, coordinates withstaff and kitchen personnel to ensure outbound trolleys are on schedule
• Monitors computers to determine arrivingflight times to arrange for drivers to meet aircraft for unloading/loading
• Provides accurate and timely information totransportation supervisors / leads
• Coordinates with Meal Planners regardingirregularities and changes
• Participate in loading / unloading trucks tohelp drivers to deliver on time
• Maintain clean working area, maintain cleanloading docks, maintain clean equipment following rules
• Comply with all safety rules and companystandards
• Wear uniform & safety shoes while on duty
• Check conformity of health & safetydocuments & food safety documents
• Report / Communicate any malfunction tohierarchy and other teams on a daily basis
• Fill required security documents and proceedappropriate assignments, controls
• Maintain vehicles up to date & ensurenecessary follow up
• Systematically process the calls by order ofseniority everyday there is a shortage of manpower
• Check everyday the logbooks in each truck,twice a day, and place a new logbook every time it is needed
• Inspect everyday if logbooks are properlyfilled, and report any discrepancy by email to the Handling Manager &the Unit Manager OR through the Dispatch daily written report
• Assist Drivers on duty by preparing ice &beverages for the flights
• Perform other duties as assigned
