Job summary

T-Lane Transportation in Edmonton, AB is seeking a motivated Dispatcher with Ocean Container experience to join our growing team.

You will manage orders from entry to billing, coordinate drivers, preplan freight, and maintain open communication with customers and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dispatcher in transportation field (3+ years).
• Experience in scheduling trucks for live orders and projects.
• Experience and knowledge of Canadian shipping regulations and practices.
• Ocean Container dispatch experience is required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders into TMW and build a manifest, dispatch drivers, and ensure POD is in the system.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers and customers.
• Dispatch deliveries and preplan freight for return trips.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing.

Job Responsibilities

As the dispatcher, you are responsible from the beginning of the process to the end. Entering the orders into TMW and building a manifest, dispatching the driver, following up until the POD is in the system and the order is ready for billing. To do this you are in constant communication with drivers as well as our customers. You will be responsible for dispatching deliveries, preplanning freight for return trips.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, results driven and a team player. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications:

• Experience as aDispatcherin the transportation field with 3 years minimum experience required
• Experience in scheduling trucks for live orders and projects
• Experience and knowledge of Canadianshipping regulations and practices.
• Ocean Container dispatch experienceis required for this role
• This position requires an individual who is adaptable; self-motivated, results driven and a team player.
• Successful with building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• An expert at multi-tasking and effectively managing changing priorities.
• High level of detail in performing tasks.
• Proactive, able to identify early on any potential issues, and to implement solutions.
• Experienced with TMWand Microsoft Office is required
