Job summary

Shannex is seeking a Kitchen Assistant (Dishwasher) at Parkland Truro in Truro, Nova Scotia. You will manage dishware, maintain sanitation, and support Culinary Services in a respectful, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check where applicable.
• CPR & Emergency First Aid Certification and/or Food Safety Training would be an asset.
• Experience with seniors in retirement/long-term care is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Process all dishware and maintain sanitation of dish machine, kitchen aide and dish sinks as per guidelines.
• Return clean dishware to appropriate storage areas for use by Culinary Services.
• Buss tables in dining rooms and catering areas as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and kitchen aide areas.
