Job summary

PARC Retirement Living in North Vancouver is seeking a Dishwasher to join the Cedar Springs PARC team. This full-time, benefited role supports our residents by delivering a high-quality dining experience.

The position offers a stable schedule (Sat–Wed, 30–40 hrs) and an hourly rate of CAD 25.85–26.34. Training and benefits are provided, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Knowledge of food service practices.
• FoodSafe Level 1 and WHMIS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an incredible dining experience for residents and guests.
• Clean and sanitize cookware, dishware and cutlery safely and efficiently.
• Help clean the kitchen, including equipment, countertops and beverage centre.
• Maintain safe dishwasher temperatures and store cleaning chemicals per WHMIS and health regulations.
• Work ergonomically, with proper lifting, bending and reaching techniques.
• Assist with stock control, food prep and serving meals as needed.

As a PARC Dishwasher, you’re responsible for:

• Helping to deliver an incredible dining experience for our residents and guests.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all cookware, dishware, and cutlery safely and efficiently – while minimizing breakage.
• Helping clean the kitchen, including equipment, countertops, and the beverage centre.
• Maintaining safe dishwasher temperatures and ensuring cleaning chemicals are stored and used according to WHMIS and other public health regulations.
• Working in an ergonomically safe manner, practicing proper lifting, bending, and reaching techniques to avoid injury.
• Assisting with stock control, food prep, and serving meals as needed.

• You have a minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent, plus experience with commercial dishwashing equipment, and knowledge of food service practices.
