Qualifications

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Food Safe Level 1 required to ensure safe food handling.
  • WHMIS certification required to handle hazardous materials safely.
  • Strong prioritization and time-management skills for efficient kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to work independently with high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes to maintain kitchen workflow.
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe; remove trash, compost, and recycling.
  • Clean and maintain the dish sanitizer following food safety protocols.
  • Label, store, and organize food items after service.
  • Stock lounge, dining room, and crew fridges with beverages.
  • Package cookies/snacks and restock the snack table.
  • Sweep and mop the kitchen at shift end and as needed.
  • Assist Resort Chef and Breakfast Cook with food prep and plating during dinner service.
  • Put away deliveries, break down boxes, and communicate supply needs.
  • Clean boat thermoses and assist other departments when required; greet guests upon arrival/departure.

Location: Nootka Sound Resort

About The Role

The Dishwasher supports the Nootka Sound and Newton Cove Resort kitchens by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace while assisting with food preparation and meal service. Reporting to the Resort Chef, this role ensures kitchen sanitation, helps with prep tasks, and contributes to smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
