Job summary

The Learning Enrichment Foundation (LEF) seeks an Abilities Workforce Specialist to help people with disabilities achieve meaningful employment. You will identify opportunities, provide career counselling, and support job seekers and employers through the hiring process.

You will also assist employers in understanding client abilities, matching skills to opportunities, and delivering retention coaching and mentoring to sustain employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a vocational or job development capacity.
• Minimum two years’ experience in job development including wage subsidy, job placement, and job retention.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings and promote inclusive employment.
• Provide one-on-one job coaching, resume support, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
• Assist clients in navigating employment barriers and coordinating with employers for accommodations and retention.
