• Experience or training in health and wellness, disability and life or health insurance, injury claims, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage disability claims (STD, LTD and Life Waiver) by evaluating medical information and job duties.
• Evaluate the extent of the disability through verbal and written communication with applicants, employers, physicians, lawyers and respond to inquiries.
• Use critical thinking to make decisions based on the assessment of each claim.
• Implement return-to-work programs and coordinate with the employer.
• Conduct health care coordination and rehabilitation programs to ensure they meet employability goals.
