Role Responsibilities
  • Review documentation such as application forms, medical and employment information, and data from other insurers like WCB and motor vehicle carriers.
  • Assess claims to determine rehabilitation potential and develop case management plans.
  • Interview claimants and employers via telephone to inform claim decisions.
  • Manage claims proactively to minimize disability periods and facilitate return-to-work processes.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and utilize resources for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with treatment recommendations and rehabilitation interventions.
  • Arrange assessments like medical examinations or surveillance when needed.
  • Maintain clear and ongoing communication with all involved parties.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Psychology, Disability Management, or related field (asset).
  • Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation (asset).
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in English; French is an asset, especially for non-Francophone and outside Québec teams.
