Job summary

RBC is seeking a Director of Business Risk to lead the Operational Risk practice for Wealth Management Canada. You will guide senior leaders and align WM Canada risks with RBC's ORM strategy, across DS Retail, PHNIC, RT, WMFS, DSG, PTO and WMCO.

You will build and manage a capable team of risk professionals, drive RCM and ICM programs, and ensure robust risk reporting and governance participation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services.
• Experience in managing executive stakeholders and teams.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk practices and regulatory expectations.
• Leadership presence and ability to influence at the executive level.
• Collaborative partner able to work with WM Canada stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and sustain the Operational Risk Framework for WM Canada.
• Lead a team of risk professionals, planning and executing risk programs across Canada.
• Coordinate with 1B peers to act as 1LOD for Operational Risk across WM Canada.
• Oversee RCM, Internal Controls, and Risk Assessment activities.
• Direct annual risk registers, KRIs, and risk reporting for WM Canada.
• Represent WM Risk in governance forums and management committees.
